Empowering the Future of Gaming with Seamless Crypto Integration

WalletGuise is a pure Web3 solution that eliminates the need for users to create a wallet or acquire SOL before interacting with a decentralized application (dApp). Instead, WalletGuise provides prepaid keypairs in exchange for a small proof-of-work (PoW) to prevent abuse and resource exhaustion.

How It Works

WalletGuise uses a modified ed25519 keypair generation algorithm. This custom algorithm only generates parts of the private key and introduces a deliberate security weakness that makes the private key crackable—albeit with significant computational effort.

The difficulty of cracking a key is tunable to ensure that sabotage attempts are economically infeasible. The system is designed so that honest users are more profitable than saboteurs. These honest users contribute to the automatic, embedded maintenance of the WalletGuise system by helping to replenish the pool of prefunded keypairs.

Majority Attacks

Since the keypair generation process relies on a tunable security model, the system is potentially vulnerable to majority attacks. If a majority of network participants control the transaction throughput, they could exhaust the pool of available prepaid keypairs. In such scenarios, honest users may face delays in receiving prepaid transactions. Mitigating majority attacks is a high priority and will be addressed in upcoming updates to the WalletGuise protocol.

Security Improvements

One planned enhancement involves tweaking the keypair generation process to produce keypairs with predictable signatures. Instead of relying on partial private keys, the system will exploit these predictable signatures directly, effectively eliminating the need for private keys altogether.

This approach significantly reduces the risk of sabotage and allows the system to enforce usage limits on prepaid transactions. By leveraging predictable signatures, WalletGuise moves closer to offering a secure, efficient, and reliable prefunded transaction mechanism.
